Island Waves

Founded by Mark Leary shortly after receiving a tenor steel drum from his mother’s most recent trip to Trinidad. Originally a solo act playing to backing tracks, the group evolved into a trio with the addition of guitarist Devlin McDonald and bassist Andrew Bishop. Since the band’s debut on the Clipper City Baltimore Sail back in the 1990’s, Island Waves has been performing for audiences at festivals, neighborhood centers, church gatherings, outlet centers, corporate functions and other special events.
