Linda Joy Burke, Managing Partner
I’ve shared stage and collaborated with a diverse group of artists, including Mark Leary of Unity Reggae Band. When we were younger, we hit the open mic scene. He was looking for music venues, and as a performance poet before slam, I was up for any place that had a good sound system. We wound up doing the open mic at the iconic 8×10 Club in Baltimore Maryland, several times during those years. This became my favorite non-gig (code for free) where I experimented using all the special effects that were available, and I got to do things that no one else was doing at the time. I still have my digital delay pedal from those early days. I discovered then that no matter who you were as a performer, it was crucial to have impeccable sound.
Times were changing and the technology was changing too.
Fast Forward 30 years later to when Mark our lead engineer and I reconnected and decided to collaborate on building on the network we’ve both had the privilege of being a part of. Mark, a Columbia Maryland native who studied music at Wilde Lake High School under the beloved band director Lew Dutrow, is a seasoned live and sessions musician, playing Drums, Bass, Electric and Acoustic Guitar, Keyboards, Percussion, Steel Pan, as well as being a Lead and Back Up Vocalist. To that he adds extensive studio and sound engineering experience doing sound for large, medium and small events, and recording a wide variety of musicians. More about that part of his career on our Engineering Page.
We have built a wonderfully talented group of engineers, and musicians who bring decades of experience, to this venture.
We love what we do – and look forward to sharing what we do with you!
